Valley Center Western Days

Western Days traces its roots to 1950 when it was called Valley Center Country Fair.
In 1961, the name was changed to Western Week.
In 1968, the name was changed to Western Days & Country Fair.
In 1970, the first parade was held.
In 1980, the name Western Days was adopted.

In 2002, a rodeo was added by local residents Gina Rizzotto and Geraldine McHuge named Bulls & Barrels Valley Center Rodeo. It was later renamed to Valley Center Stampede, and currently chaired by Joyce Holmes.

In 2016, the name of the Parade was changed to Valley Center Days for this year only

In July 2016, Valley Center Western Days, Inc., was formed by community leaders and neighboring tribes to preserve and protect our community event.

In 2017, Valley Center Western Days will celebrate 67 years!
